THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A INDEPENDENTIST/ SEPARATIST AND A TERRORIST

They are freedom fighters for an oppressed people who are suffering genocide because of their ethnicity and because they exist on the land of Azawad, their ancestral land for generations, since the Tifinagh was first carved on the rocks of the region where they were born. It was their ancestors who carved the Tifinagh dating back to prehistoric times.

THE DIFFERENCE EXPLAINED

Since Mali started the genocide against the Azawadian people, after colonization, when France gave the part of Azawad to Mali and attached it to Mali AGAINST their consent, Mali started to call them “terrorists” because it is easier to go out and kill a terrorist than a civilian, right? It looks like you are doing something useful and it hides the real objective which is the genocide of an innocent people who were there before you… and now they want to take over the country and all the Azawadians to leave. There is also a racist objective, it is the ethnic cleansing of the Arabo-Tuaregs.

So they use the scorched earth policy and kill in the name of the “fight against terrorists”. But the real terrorists can act more or less undisturbed in the area and also as it seems, despite frequent fights as well, often in collaboration with the Malian authorities where there is mutual money to be made. Because Mali need money to pay Wagner who are expensive.

Independentist – supporter of independence, of political autonomy. Independence is the aspiration to independence, is used in the political context to designate the claim of a community not to be “subject to the authority of another body or another community”.

Separatism – is the desire for independence and self-determination of national or ethnic groups; it generally implies a claim to a specific territory and the intention to secede from a larger state. There are several well-known examples of separatist movements around the world, including Kurdish separatism in Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria; Tamil separatism in Sri Lanka; Tuareg separatism in Mali and Niger; Quebec separatism in Canada; Basque separatism in Spain; etc.

Terrorism – is “organized violence that deliberately targets civilians and aims to sow fear in a population for political or other, ideological, religious, or other purposes.” Apparently terrorism can, by definition,be perpetrated by both non-state actors, and states that engage in terrorism.

Among them, no one from the Azawad army has yet been seen targeting and killing civilians (unlike the Fama and Wagner). Thus, calling the Azawadian population “terrorists” is an invention of the Malian putschists. It is just a way to mislead Malian public opinion and the international community. So that they can continue their ethnic genocide.

The Malian authorities together with Wagner are targeting and killing civilians, terrorizing them by burning and looting, raping, killing their animals, poisoning the water, burning the trees… killing children, women, elderly and sick.

They place explosives on killed civilians so that more civilians can get killed, they hide explosives in the sand, in water wells, they cut the heads of people and they burn them alive too. Is that not perfectly the definition of a terrorist? and a terrorist state?
