Spanish hostage Navarro was freed from captivity by the Azawad Liberation Front, in a move that reflects its humanitarian commitment to confronting terrorism and protecting civilians and foreigners.
This story reflects the central role that the FLA plays as a security buffer in this region where they fight for freedom and independence for the people of Azawad, despite all the challenges and media distortions. Today, it is imperative that the world realizes that the FLA is not just a party to a conflict, but a force seeking peace and stability in the region.
But out of Algeria came only this…
Abdelmadjid Tebboune:
“I thank our security services and the Ministry of National Defense for their effectiveness and discretion during the operation to free the Spanish citizen Gilbert Navarro”
And the FLA ?
Not one single word of recognition of the rescuers, the Azawad Liberation Front.
How come? why do they try to hide the efforts of the FLA? ask yourselves this question.
The decisive field movements on the ground were by the FLA units, and they harnessed all their social, intelligence and military capabilities to save the life of the hostage kidnapped 500 km inside the Algerian territory!
This hostage was saved by the FLA so give credit where credit is due and if credit is shared, mention everyone involved not just one part.
Do not forget the fact that the FLA was in contact with the Spanish authorities throughout the operation. And that it was not at the request of the Algerian authorities that the FLA led this liberation operation.
The FLA saw it as their responsibility since they operate in this area near the Algerian border in their fight for the liberation of Azawad from Mali and they are against hostage-taking and organized crime. And since Mali always tries to stain their credibility calling them terrorists even though they are not, (they are separatists, or you can call them revolutionaries), they seized the opportunity.
And to those who denied the FLA`s role in this, and suggested that “the men did not even show any emblemas that they were from Azawad”…. We say – are they blind? Haven’t they seen those pictures? Don’t they notice that big flag? Or is it bigger than they can comprehend?
It seems that someone has sworn to never mention the name of Azawad, no matter what happens.
But the Azawad flag is always so very visible! Read more about this event here.
