A deeply disturbing incident has unfolded, marked by the senseless killing of Tuareg and Arab individuals who had sought security and protection. These individuals, who had fully paid for their safety to Burkinabé security forces, tragically fell victim to the very soldiers tasked with shielding them from terrorism and banditry.
Shockingly, the perpetrators belonged to the same Bambara ethnic group as those in Mali, and the killings appear to have been driven by ethnic hatred. These men and women were slaughtered in cold blood simply because of their ethnic background, a heinous act that lays bare the persistent and violent divisions in the region.
This horrific event highlights the fragile state of interethnic relations in Burkina Faso and neighboring countries. It underscores the dangers of mistrust, historical grievances, and the exploitation of ethnic tensions for political or personal gain. Instead of fostering unity and security, those in positions of power and authority have perpetuated violence against vulnerable communities.
This is the fate of the Arabs and white Tuaregs in the Sahel region today. They are being subjected to genocide by the so-called racist “Gourma” alliance (Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso) supported by Russia. Unfortunately, there is a shameful regional and international silence on these crimes that are committed daily in the complete absence of the media and international organizations. Today, young traders were liquidated in cold blood in Burkina Faso just because they are Tuaregs.

This crime against the Tuareg and Arab populations demands urgent attention from international and regional actors to prevent further escalation and protect these communities from future atrocities.
Information has been confirmed that the Burkinabe coup army committed this heinous crime yesterday against Tuareg traders from the Izouagh region (Niger), where about six people were liquidated because of their white skin color by a special battalion that was supposed to provide protection for the traders:
