As this story with the shot down drone unfolds, we will add more updates.
According to the media, Mali acquired two of these Turkish Akinci drones in the fall last year to become the most powerful drones in their arsenal. But yesterday one of them was shot down. This type of drone has been used as a deadly weapon against civilians & has played a major role in the ongoing genocide against the Azawadi people.

Algeria says it was them who shot it down because it violated Algerian airspace (for a short while). While Mali says it was a lack of satellite connection causing it to fall, and as usual they don´t want to recognize the Azawadian army. It is worth to note that they justified the heavy loss on July 25, 26 and 27 due to the wind factor, in the same place.
Interesting to note also how there are two different official statements from Mali and Algeria, stating two completely different versions.
And a Turkish page, said it was “crashed” and did not mention a technical failure at all… While it was in the air and ignited before falling and hitting the ground, which is clear in the photos and video clips, which were documented and broadcast by the FLA fighters.
And if it was Algeria who shot down the drone as they claimed, why then did not Mali target Algerian soil with the second drone? instead they targeted a gold miners’ vehicle in Inatayara, a gold-mining site near Tinzawatène. Toll: 6 civilians killed, 4 Chadians, 2 Azawadians and several injured on a vehicle loaded with gasoline and foreign gold miners. Even foreigners has to lose their lives by the Malian drone strikes.
Despite all different reports as to who shot the drone down, the main thing is – the drone that was sent by Mali used as a butcher for civilians is down, and the carcass is with the Azawad Liberation Front.

Algerian and Malian statements. Note the date on the Malian press release.
As we all know, there`s several powers fighting Azawad with various means and at various levels from bombing civilians calling them terrorists to burning the ground and poisoning animals to using a large false propaganda machine. There are several, (including traitors from within) who does not want to see Azawad becoming a free country, independent from the Malian occupiers.
But their propaganda does not change the fact that the Azawad Liberation Front has become a strong military front who knows that they are fighting for a just cause, who has the Azawadian people behind them, and which they cannot so easily defeat. The Azawadians have not given up their fight in 64 years.

THE MALAISE OF TURKISH TECHNOLOGY

*The Malaise of Turkish Technology*: In Tinzawaten, Algeria Accepts an Act It Did Not Commit *to Save a State and Its Industrial Flagship*
If Turkey were to ask a third state to take responsibility for the destruction of one of its drones rather than acknowledge its loss to the Azawadian herdsmen, this would reflect much more than a simple diplomatic maneuver: it would be a desperate attempt to avoid technological and military humiliation.
A Bayraktar TB2 drone, a flagship of Turkish engineering, shot down in an asymmetrical war zone by seasoned desert fighters? Inconceivable for Ankara. The image of power projected by these aircraft would collapse in the face of such a reality.
But Tinzawaten is not a shadow theater; it is a crossroads where every action is scrutinized, every lie dismantled, every victory inscribed in the memory of the dunes. In this strategic region, public opinion in Azawad and the Sahel is neither naive nor blind. It knows how to recognize the power struggles and imposed narratives.
Behind this staging, another dynamic is at play. Who is seeking protection? Who is unhappy with the rise of the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA)? Every FLA success is a challenge to the powers that have underestimated the resilience and striking capacity of the desert fighters. Every drone shot down, every position recaptured, every successful ambush sends a shockwave through the regional geopolitical landscape.
But by trying to manipulate the truth, some risk running into a more implacable reality: in the Sahel, strength is not measured solely in sophisticated weaponry, but in the ability to hold ground, win hearts, and impose one’s version of events. And in this respect, the peoples of the desert are never fooled.
