UNITED NATIONS EXPRESS GRAVE CONCERN REGARDING THE KWALA MASSACRE BY THE MALIAN ARMY ON FULANIS

The UN calls it “alleged arbitrary executions” and “enforced disappearances” which could equal to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The UN experts have called on the Malian authorities to launch an independent, transparent and immediate investigation that is in accordance with international standards, considering that the state of Mali`s inaction is a violation of the right to Life.

As per the usual, the Malian army said they were “fighting terrorists” … but that statement becomes more and more hollow.

UN declares that International humanitarian law needs to be respected, and governments must, according to the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, address the root causes of violence to effectively counter terrorism.

Things the people of Azawad are suffering from a complete lack of, by the hands of the Malian authorities and the mercenaries Wagner. Marginalized, terrorized and subjected to a systematic genocide as they have been, since the 60s.

According to the UN – “Under international law, military commanders and other superiors, including government officials, can be held criminally responsible for crimes committed by armed forces under their effective command and control.”

We are hoping that justice and transparency will bring out fruitful work to end these repeated massacres of civilians.
