Those who think that the official African Corps is less dangerous than Wagner are seriously mistaken.

Its true and don´t be fooled. It`s just two sides of the same coin. All you have to do is look at them to see that they are criminals. Months ago there were warnings that the violence could even get worse with the Africa Corps. If the mission is to empty Azawad of its inhabitants so they can extract the resources then they will do everything they can to get this mission accomplished, regardless of how many killed civilians it takes.
But… the Azawad Liberation forces and a whole people is between them and they have been fighting since 1963 and even before that against the french colonizers. Everyone knows what happened in Tinzawatene. The blue men of the desert marked a chapter in human history: the first defeat of Wagner’s Russian mercenaries in West Africa.
Human rights issues and violations will now be directly linked to Russia with the Africa Corps, as they work under the Russian Ministry of Defense.
But to complicate the situation there is a strong emergence of all those unpredictable and really dangerous terrorist groups, creating chaos, especially in Mali`s central and southern parts, which the Malian junta apparently does not do much about at all since it´s not the terrorists that they are fighting, despite them saying so to fool the people. And this might just backfire on them.
So…instead of efficiently fighting these terrorists, the Malian government has chosen to fight the FLA (rather than negotiate) and to keep killing civilians in Azawad. So the terrorists have free hands more or less to take over. The Africa Corps (ex Wagner) are only there for the money, they too will either leave one day or very possibly meet death in the desert like what happened to the Wagners on july 27, 2024.
As for Azawad in the north… the Azawad liberation forces, they are just focusing on what they always have focused on – the liberation of Azawad and that`s it – they never give up no matter what.
France destroyed the Tuareg society not only through physical extermination, but also through a series of brutal and structured colonial actions.
First, it conquered Tuareg territories by force, violently suppressing their resistance. Then, it dismantled their traditional social organization by eliminating customary chiefs, banning raids, and disrupting the caravan trade, the pillar of their economy.
Finally, France fragmented their territory among several colonies (Mali, Niger, Algeria, etc.), which shattered their unity.
After independence, the Tuareg remained marginalized, excluded from power, and victims of discrimination. French colonization thus left a heavy legacy of division, poverty, and cultural loss among this Saharan people.
And from the Malian side, nothing but marginalization, racism and oppression from day one! 2021 saw them bring in Wagner, criminal murderers, which they even denied even being there – only to have Russia and Wagner themselves officially saying the contrary! twice!
And now, there´s this changing of “clothes” – the Africa Corps, the other side of the same coin and not a bit better than Wagner for the people of Azawad who only want their freedom.
And just because some people can’t stand reading the reality about what is happening in Azawad and in Mali doesn’t make it any less reality.
The FLA wants independence for Azawad (since 1963) and, with it, only wants peace.
They have nothing to do with the terrorists who all have their own violent agendas. But the junta keeps killing the Azawadian civilian population up in the north. Which has made it clear to many that the junta isn’t trying to fight the real terrorists, absolutely not.
Their agenda is the genocide of the people of Azawad. Period.
And they need the help of foreign criminal mercenaries, listed as a terrorist group in some other countries around the world, with prison sentences for anyone with a connection to them (like for example in the UK), and replacing Wagner with the Africa Corps changes nothing.
The African Corps started quickly, and killed a young man on 06-06-25 in Anefis, Azawad. And today, on June 8, 2025, 3 young Arabs from the Ladime community were shot dead near Almaz-Taghatt (Tangara) by members of Afrika Corps (ex-Wagner) and Famas.
Also on this 08/06/2025, two vehicles were hit, all parked near the camps. Provisional reports indicate that a blacksmith was seriously injured. These aerial attacks clearly demonstrate the ethnic cleansing intentions in the Kidal region.
The truth is perceived by the Malian junta as propaganda and lies have replaced the truth. Peace to the souls of all those who have disappeared, victims of unprecedented barbarity.

Oppressed peoples, raise your voices in the face of the silent horror ravaging Azawad. Africa Corps (ex Wagner’s Russian mercenaries) allied with the Malian army, who do not come for peace or the fight against terrorism.
Their real mission is terror: they deliberately target innocent civilians, massacre indiscriminately, and sow fear in villages under the guise of security.
It`s actually terrorism, just not jihadists.
These are not military errors. These are premeditated crimes, supported and covered up by certain so-called tribal leaders, who have become complicit in the bloodshed to preserve their privileges. They have betrayed their people, made a pact with the executioners, and abandoned the dignity of their ancestors.
We denounce this charade. Azawad, the center, the north, and the south—all peoples must know: what is happening is a silent genocide.
The world must open its eyes and demand justice.
This silence is shameful. The blood of the innocent will not remain unheeded.
