
A demonstration has been held, an letter written by Issouf Ag Maha has been handed over to the president of the International Criminal Court, Ms Tomoko Akani. Which is a call for an international investigation into the systematic ethnic cleansing which takes place in silence in Azawad since 1963, and since 2021 by using Russian mercenaries Wagner, (called Africa Corps since 2025) to commit atrocities and violations of human rights as well as using Turkish drones to kill civilians in Azawad under the disguise of “killing terrorists”.
The open letter can be read in the previous post about the peaceful demonstration that was held on june 14 in front of the International Criminal Court and organized by Tuareg and Human rights organizations, Imouhagh International Organization for Justice and Transparency, Azawad Solidarity, Kal Akal Association (Human Rights Observatory of Azawad) with the support of the Tuareg community in Europe and North America and activists for Azawad.

President Abdoulahi ATTAYOUB spoke at the peaceful rally held today before the International Criminal Court. He denounced the massacres and ethnic cleansing of Azawad’s indigenous peoples, including the Tuaregs, Arabs and Peulhs, by the military junta and mercenaries of the Wagner Group, now known as Africa Corps.
He stressed the importance of breaking the silence on the dramatic situation in Azawad and raising awareness among the international community about the plight of civilian populations. The President has strongly condemned these heinous acts and called for urgent action to protect human rights and end violence.
He also reiterated the commitment of the diaspora to fight for justice and peace, and to hold accountable those responsible for these crimes. The rally was an opportunity for protesters to make their voices heard and to call on the international community to take concrete action to end the suffering of Azawad populations.
