The liberation fight that began, entering another dimension, on July 18 is ongoing, and there are cities under siege by the Azawad Liberation Front.
The Front issued a press release on july 17 where they calls on civilians and residents of Azawadian cities to be cautious and stay away from roads and military and paramilitary places, as the targets in the next few days, will be diverse.
Further they state that conflict parties should respect the rules of international humanitarian law and civilians avoid risks during confrontations. As human rights defenders we value the Azawad Liberation Front for the of this responsible soul and alerting the population to preserve their lives.
But the enemy wasn`t late to take advantage of the press release and turning the truth into a lie stating that the Azawad Liberation Front was assaulting some civilians, meaning “forcing them” to leave. Completely ignoring what the press release actually is saying.
In reality they only urged them to take shelter for their own security since the Azawad Liberation Front cannot guarantee their safety since the Malian army and the Russian mercenaries are known to not make any distinction between an armed and a civilian.
Further, it was also reported that when the population of Kidal tried to flee the city due to the rising insecurity, the Africa-Corps was preventing them due to that they want to use them as human shields.
The brutality of the African Corps and the Malian Army
In Banguel Village, Rharous Circle, occupied Timbuktu, July 18, 2025. A child sits in the sand, his hand completely blown off and pieces of the skeleton sticking out, he is also injured on his legs and feet. The pain must be indescribable.
