INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN DECLARATION ON THE ONGOING CRIMES COMMITTED BY THE MALIAN STATE AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF AZAWAD

By Khamidoune Ag Toumast:

International Humanitarian Declaration on the ongoing crimes committed by the Malian state against the people of Azawad.

In a disturbing international silence, the Malian state continues to commit atrocious crimes against the people of Azawad, without any legal or moral barriers. Bombings, executions, kidnappings, house burnings, forced displacements…

And the victims are children, women, and defenseless elderly people, with only their cries forgotten and their tears ignored. But the crime does not stop there. It reaches a level of cruelty and shamelessness rarely equaled in contemporary history.

To the criminals of the Malian state:

You don’t need to be denounced.. **You incriminate yourselves.**

You document your crimes, you publish them, you boast about them as if they were victories, when in fact they are eternal marks of shame for humanity. You kill people mercilessly, you spill the blood of innocents. Then you film your crimes with your phones and broadcast them on social media in a spectacle of shameless sadism.

You don’t just commit atrocities, **You glorify them, as if you had lost all connection with humanity.**

You trample on human dignity, transform suffering into a show of force, as if the life of a human being no longer had any value in your eyes. These are not simple atrocities, but crimes documented in images and sound. Crimes that make you witnesses, executioners, and propagandists all at once.

We declare before the world:

1. What is happening in Azawad is not a simple military conflict, but a planned ethnic cleansing operation against a defenseless people, under the eyes and silence of the international community.

2. The use of heavy weapons and airstrikes by the Malian army against civilian villages, deliberately targeting children and women, constitutes a crime against humanity in all its gravity.

3. Documenting these crimes and proudly displaying them proves that these are not isolated acts, but rather a deliberate and systematic state policy.

4. This indifference to human dignity and this moral decline require immediate and concrete action from the international community, human rights organizations, the United Nations, and the African Union.

5. The people of Azawad are not alone. Their voice will carry, and justice, though delayed, will never die.

He who kills and laughs at his own cruelty… no longer has a place among men.

We hold the Malian state fully responsible—legally and criminally—for all violations committed.

We call for:

* An immediate end to the attacks;

* International protection for the people of Azawad.

* The dispatch of independent commissions of inquiry.

* The bringing to justice of all perpetrators of these crimes before international courts.

**Justice cannot be bought… Memory does not die… And the people of Azawad will never forget.
