A New Massacre in Ajdir: Malian Forces and Russian Mercenaries Continue Targeting Civilians.
In a dangerous escalation of violence against innocent civilians, a Malian Armed Forces drone, supported by Russian mercenaries, carried out a brutal attack on the weekly market in Ajdir, near the Mauritanian border, killing nine civilians and seriously wounding several others.
Details of the Massacre
At midday, while the weekly market was teeming with buyers and sellers, the drone targeted three civilian vehicles carrying local residents, transforming the atmosphere into a scene of horror and destruction. The sounds of explosions echoed, and bodies lay scattered amidst the mud and blood. A state of panic prevailed among the residents, who rushed to save whatever they could.
Identities of the Victims and Injured
All the victims were unarmed civilians, including traders and drivers on their way to go about their daily lives. Among the injured was young Abdullah, who was seriously injured in the bombing. He is just one example of the suffering of the people of Azawad, who live under constant threat from the Malian-Russian machine of repression.
Drones: A Cold-Blooded Weapon of Murder
This brutal attack proves that Malian forces and Russian mercenaries are using Turkish drones, recently acquired by Mali, as indiscriminate weapons against civilians. The relentless bombing of markets, livestock, and residential areas is not just a “military mistake,” but rather a deliberate strategy of genocide aimed at displacing the indigenous population, forcing them to live in constant fear, and crushing any potential resistance.
Crimes are repeated… and the silence continues
This massacre is not the first, and it will not be the last, as long as the world remains silent, and as long as the invading forces find cover in the support of some international powers to continue their war of extermination against the people of Azawad.
A Message to the World and the People of Azawad
To the international community, to human rights organizations, and to all those who claim to defend human rights: How many more massacres must take place before these crimes stop?
To the people of Azawad: The blood of the martyrs will not be in vain, and the occupier will not rest easy over its crimes. Freedom is not given, it is taken away. History bears witness that peoples targeted for genocide do not die; rather, they rise stronger from their ashes.
We will continue to document these crimes, we will continue to expose the killers, and we will continue to defend Azawad until our last breath.

UPDATE: On the evening of March 16, 2025, the Jdir area of Azawad was hit by an airstrike from Malian regime drones, seriously injuring two women. The attack, carried out by the Malian Air Force backed by Turkey and Russia, occurred late at night, reflecting the ongoing aggression against civilians in Azawad.
Implications: The attack on Jdir adds to a series of indiscriminate attacks on civilians across Azawad, increasing the suffering of the Azawadi people. The serious injuries sustained by the women reflect the brutality of this conflict, at a time when humanitarian pressures are increasing due to the siege and ongoing attacks.

Note: By selling these drones to regimes like the Malian junta who use them to kill civilians in Azawad, they are equally guilty.
This is a gang of criminals who only serve their own personal interests and those of Russia and their mercenaries Wagner or Africa Corps, it doesn’t matter, it’s the same thing!
What is happening in Azawad/Mali is a violation of human rights and constitutes war crimes that require urgent international intervention.
Link to a post by Tanakra. Who are mentioning among other things, a suspicious and disturbing international silence regarding these crimes. Despite the availability of evidence and documentation proving the commission of war crimes, the international community has not taken any serious measures to stop these violations or hold those responsible accountable. This silence encourages Malian forces and Wagner mercenaries to continue their policy of repression and violence.
