AFTER AZAWAD LIBERATION FRONT RELEASED TWO RUSSIANS PRISONERS, IT’S VERY CLEAR WHO THE REAL BARBARIANS ARE.
IN SHORT: A while ago as we know, the Azawad Liberation Front first released 88 Malian soldiers, according to them for humanitarian reasons since some had chronic illnesses. They were transported by the Red Cross.

Shortly after this operation, it was made public that two Russian soldiers, who were taken capture at the battle of Tinzawatene in 2024, also had been released, in good health. And via Libya will be sent back to their own land, so very far away from Tinzawatene where they should never have come in the first place.
Yes in good health, and it’s clear that they were taken well care of according to their fundamental rights as war prisoners which were scrupulously respected, even though they didn’t deserve it.
No, they did not deserve it – seeing to that the Wagner (now Afrika Korps) are only there to do the dirty work for the Malian junta, which apparently is to massacre and perform a genocide on the people in Azawad (northern Mali) under the disguise of “fighting terrorism”, in exchange for money and access to natural resources.
One undeniable reality and principle is that it’s not possible to achieve prosperity in the Sahel and the Sahara through brutal and savage violence, and without the consent of of the indigenous peoples.
Maybe it has been made clear now:
– That it cannot be denied that the Azawad Liberation Front take responsibility and stick to humanitarian values and moral integrity.
– To find a just and sustainable solution to the complex Azawad issue which roots have never been adressed, it’s necessary that true engagement takes place. Both regionally, sub-regionally and internationally.
– Without the root cause of the Azawad issue being addressed, there will never be peace in Azawad and Mali, or a stable solution for the Sahel.
THE CONTRAST SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS
And the contrast speak louder than words. Both the Russian mercenaries and the FAMa prisoners who were captured by the Azawad Liberation Front received better treatment than the junta’s own detainees in Bamako, who has to endure appalling prison conditions. It`s unknown how many of their prisoners are still in life. Because among those abducted by the military leaders, some are reportedly dead, while others are said to be in critical condition.
So, the Malian military prisoners now released by the Azawad Liberation Front, and who were taken captive in 2023-2024, are as we have seen, now back to freedom, some reunited with their families and according to reports appear to be in good health.
The leaders in Mali have abducted a number of people. Let them release those people. Then we can see who respects human life, shows humanity and treats their prisoners according to international law, and judge the level of humanity shown by each group.
Let them release them so the public opinion will truly be able to judge who respects human life and who actually acts like a terrorist group.
If there is nothing to hide they would not be afraid of releasing them to let their conditions be known.
