Tinsawaten has been and will continue to be a symbol of steadfastness in the face of occupiers and agents, and no matter how much they try to impose their will by force, the will of the people is invincible. Dropping the march sends a clear message: The land belongs to those who defend it, not those who invade it.
On the occasion of the anniversary of Azawad’s declaration of independence, units of the Azawadian army are solemnly commemorating this historic event & have released a formal statement addressed to both national & international audiences, reaffirming their message & aspirations.
We ask God Almighty to have mercy on our martyrs, free our prisoners, and grant victory to Azawad.
