It is a fight of resistance, it is a war of defense against the occupiers and invaders of the ancestral land of the Azawadian people, which existed long before France created Mali and unjustly ceded Azawad to Mali instead of returning it to its original inhabitants. It is their land, and the rocks with tifinagh bear witness to this.
The separatists are fighting for freedom and justice. But a war is not fought with weapons alone. Some have switched the weapons for guitars, like Tinariwen, while the weapon of others is the pen. Or culture. Or their voice. Resistance against unjustice and oppression. Let Azawad be free and peace will come.

We just want to live in peace on our territories like all other peoples. France is responsible for every Tuareg, Moorish, Fulani or Songoi child killed today in Azawad by soldiers of the illegitimate junta of Mali or by Russian mercenaries of Wagner that the same junta pays millions to massacre our populations.
France is responsible for all the misfortunes that have happened to us. It annexed our lands and those of our ancestors to its former colony of French Sudan. This is the origin of everything that happened after. Several massacres by the criminal Army of Mali, from 1963 to the present day, then by terrorists allied to the Malian regimes since 2002.
