With the dismantling of the very ill-reputed Wagner into the new and more outwardly disciplined “Africa Corps”, Russia is hoping to polish up the reputation of Wagner`s “operations” in Africa. In the case of Mali and specifically the northern part, Azawad (originally another country and people than Mali) the repeated massacres on the civilian population together with the Malian army Fama has given Wagner such a bad reputation that something had to be done.
But who do they think they are fooling? and we have written about it before, the new Africa Corps will most likely be even more brutal, because the agenda of Mali and the agenda of Russia has not changed. Mali wants extermination of the Azawadian people and with it, a change of the demographics, specifically the part that refers to migrations. And Russia wants the riches of the land, and they get that in exchange for their dirty work in performing a genocide against the Azawadian population.
The Azawadian population are on their own against these monsters because the neighbouring countries and the international community are shamefully silent. But he who fights for the self-determination of his people is not a terrorist!
Will this situation resolve? NO! not until there is a separation between Mali and Azawad. The Azawadians will never give up their fight to get back their land and the freedom of their people. This unresolved situation will not help anyone. Stability in the Sahel can only be achieved by responding to the legitimate demands of the Azawadians and by the international community recognizing their right to self-determination.
Wagner or Africa Corps, it´s the same thing, the same agenda – unchanged, it´s just an outward “facelift”… and most likely the name Wagner will not be erased either. It´s the same thing – except for an important change – the Africa Corps are operating directly under the Russian Ministry of Defense, which makes Russia directly responsible for their actions, in other words, directly responsible for the genocide in Azawad, which also the Tanakra.net website reports.
Africa Corps, a Russian paramilitary structure, created in late 2023 to protect Russian military and economic interests in African countries. Isn`t that more or less the same as Wagner do? but most likely there is a difference in their training and experience in combat effectiveness where Wagner has to be the ones with the most training.
THE LIVES OF AZAWADIANS IS A NIGHTMARE
The daily lives of the inhabitants of Azawad have become a nightmare, marked by violence and terror. Repeated incursions by Wagner forces and the FAMA have plunged entire communities into indescribable suffering.
Entire villages have been reduced to ashes…
Entire villages have been reduced to ashes, their homes burned, and their belongings mercilessly looted. The meager pastures, the source of livelihood for herders, have also been ravaged by the flames, destroying all hope of subsistence.
Forced into exile, men, women, and children find themselves surviving under modest sunshades, without shelter or resources, exposed to extreme poverty. This indiscriminate violence destroys not only lives, but also entire generations, threatening the future of Azawad and the dignity of its inhabitants.
Please, if you are willing and able, support the suffering populations and the fight for a free Azawad.
