In addition to the brutal murder of this civilian family, drone attacks took place in various locations, crimes added to the series of crimes of ethnic cleansing and genocide that the Azawadi people (especially the Tuaregs and Arabs) are facing at the hands of the Malian army and the Russian Wagner group.
On the evening of January 4, 2025, two airstrikes by two drones targeted civilian homes, killing many infants, women and men in the city of Zarhou, Timbuktu province.
In the photo of the drone attack, the Malian putschist military and Wagner are bombarding the village of Zarhou with Turkish Akıncı drones. Dozens of unarmed civilians were also arrested and they stopped cars on the road to Agor. It is unknown what happened to these civilians.
Residential areas were targeted late at night, causing panic and chaos and increasing the severity of human losses. This attack highlights the ongoing human rights violations in the region.
This is the policy of scorched earth and ethnic cleansing in Azawad by the hands of the Malian junta and Wagner. They target everything that moves, everything that breathes, everything that grows… and on the night of January 4, their Turkish drones attacked two trucks that were carrying goods from Algeria and en route to Timbuktu. The drivers were killed and everything else, trucks and goods, was destroyed and burned.
The Azawadian people have the right to security and self-determination, it is imperative that regional and international bodies take serious care of their protection.
The people of Azawad, like other peoples, have the fundamental right to be protected against this racist barbarity. The life of every individual, regardless of their ethnic or geographical origin, must be respected and preserved.
Our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of all these innocent victims, victims of the barbarity of the Malian junta and Wagner.
Urgent humanitarian aid is needed for those affected and in need in Zarhou. We call on the international community to condemn these horrific attacks and take urgent measures to protect civilians and hold those responsible for these crimes to account.

The village of Zarhou in Timbuktu State was the scene of a series of horrific violations that happened on January 15, as a force of the Malian army, supported by Wagner mercenaries, set fire to civilian property, causing enormous material losses.
This is what a village looks like after a “visit” of Wagner and Fama; death and destruction is all that remains, they have nothing to be proud of these terrorist armies. And what did the poor people of the village ever do to them? Nothing. They are innocent. God is witness!
