The truth about what is happening in Azawad:
Villages all around Azawad are attacked every single day by the Malian army FAMa and the Russian mercenaries, as well as diverse terrorist groups. Attacking villagers both from the ground and cowardly with Turkish drones. Wiping out whole families, executed without mercy, houses and land are burned, wiped off the map in an attempt to erase every living being, man and animal, even plants.
People are humiliated, terrorized, forced to flee, burnt, decapitated, shot… Children are deprived of their lives before they even had a chance to grow up, not to mention how their mental health must be affected by all this fear, insecurity and distress…paired with starvation.
UPDATE 2025. The Wagner mercenaries is replaced with the Africa Corps,but there`s no difference except that the Africa Corps are directly responsible to the Russian Ministry of defense, and there are some differences in field experience and etc. But that said, the difference for the civilian population is zero. Absolutely zero, the atrocities continues as before.
The modus operandi is the same, kill everything that moves. Terrorist or not, civilian or not, baby or old, man or woman. As long as they belong to the ethnic groups of Fulani, Tuareg or Arab (Moor) and are from Azawad. Then go out on the Telegram channels and brag about it.
Bodies are buried in the sand or just left there openly as if they were just trash not even worthy to place in a trash can. Everyone of them was a person, a mother, a father, a grandmother or grandfather, a child or a cousin, beloved by friends and family, they had a life that God gave them that nobody had the right to take.
And yet they did it. In cold blood and without a heart. Just like that, killed them on one unlucky day when the Wagner and Fama convoy happened to pass by.
This is not a hunt for terrorists as they say to the media, that is just propaganda. This is a systematic genocide with an objective behind it. To reach their objective they take help from strangers from outside like Wagner, who does not care about human rights, only money.
And Turkey….who by selling the drones to the Malian junta knowing very well that they use the drones to kill civilians – are equally complicit.
And they are methodical, they go from village to village and execute, terrorize, and arrest civilian people, every day. Burn their houses and loot their shops, kill their animals. This takes place in front of the eyes of the world. We live in a time of internet and social media, news hits the medias in a few seconds and despite bad internet connections, and many social medias strict community standards, it does not prevent the truth from being told. They just create another account, or find another platform, another way, theres always a way to tell the truth.
And still there is this silence. We wonder how many more people need to get executed before the world reacts? Silence is the same as being complicit. Every being who is complicit will have to answer for it one day.

Human rights violations and crimes against the population of Azawad has been documented for years and some you can read about here. On this page we have collected reports and articles from what has been publictly shared on the social media and in the national and international press. When it comes to the press articles and those of humanitarian organizations we have not copied their articles, instead linked or re-phrased the text. The intent is of course the same, its in the interest of humanity and the international community to know the truth and for a better world!
This world cannot become better for humanity as long as greed reigns among elements of both legal or illegal authorities to the point of genocide on defensless people. Such as what is going on in Azawad where the Malian military government and their employed-to-kill-for-money, criminal Wagner mercenaries as well as certain terrorist groups kill people daily!
According to reports, the transitional authorities in Mali actually sees human rights as chains that prevent the country from moving forward. The problem that Mali sees with Western countries is that they respect human rights “too much” and thus also become a stumbling block for Mali. This is also the reason why the Malian authorities turned to Wagner, because these regimes need a military force that does not respect any human rights rules. This was even openly admitted by a Malian official in an interview.
Reports from various sources also states that Wagner spend about 35000 USD per month on social media (influencers, YouTubers etc) to boost their reputation which is severly damaged due to all their crimes against civilians in many countries. And surely also to report accounts that works against human rights violations. TikTok is a perfect example of a platform where you can see terrorists displaying their weapons without any problems while accounts denouncing their crimes gets reported and suspended. They probably pay them to get rid of human rights activists. They have a big propaganda machine to keep the world ignorant about the truth.
Let’s hope that this genocide of innocent people in Azawad can STOP.

This is the work of the Malian army and the Africa Corps, burning civilian property and shops around Azawad. What gives them the right to terrorize people like this?
Humanitarian catastrophe between Kidal and Aniviv. Six mass graves have been found in the area between Kidal and Aniviv, and more than 70 victims have been counted so far. This horrific crime is a stark reminder of the necessity of revealing the truth, holding those responsible accountable, and not being silent about human rights violations.

This example of looting took place when they /Fama/Wagner) were on their way to Tinzawatin to take the city in july 2024(and most likely kill ) the population and the refugees on the Azawadian side of Tinzawatin, but where they met death in the form of the Azawadian army, defending the city and its people.
Greedy hands…and stealing stealing, from the Azawadian people. This is what they call “protection of people and their property”.
These Wagners and Famas, stealing from the people and abusing villagers, did not know that “karma” waited for them in Tinzawaten. In the form of the Azawadian army, and not one of these thieves and murderers who left Bamako for Tinzawaten came back. And among the Famas, the desert swallowed a few. And among the mercenairies, a few are still war prisoners, but most died that day.
This is some of the stolen things that they found on them, the 5th photo (bottom left above) shows the “king of theft” and the man who had to shout “Azawad” the loudest…after their capture. He tried to blame everything on Wagner.

This is a print screen picture from a nearly 6 minutes long video that was found among others in one of the electronic media of the Wagner mercenaries taken prisoner in Tinzawaten by the CSP-DPA.
It is evidence of sexual abuse on a woman from a village who was required to undress to be exposed to others thus gravely violating her honor.
The bravery of this lady who responds with so much courage in the hope of being spared from humiliation and certainly from the worst that would have happened to her, demonstrates how much this terrorist coalition deserves what did happen to them in Tinzawaten and will happen again in Azawad.

The scorched earth policy.

Genocide Victims Discovered. Local authorities have confirmed the discovery of several partially buried bodies, victims of the genocidal violence perpetrated by the terrorist duo Malian Armed Forces and Wagner. People are disappearing in Azawad… and later, they could be found like this, partly buried in the desert.
Chemical rockets are thrown on the Azawadian land, it is not enough to kill the Azawadian population and gorge them and trap their corpses, chemical rockets are additionally used as well.
IED explosives. They often place them on the bodies of killed people so that when their relatives or friends come to bury them they explode and that way there will be more victims. They also place these at water sources and children and others that come to get water get killed. Or they hide them in various places. Its all about killing as many civilians as possible. It doesnt matter who it is.
An example to point out the differences in how Mali treat their prisoners and how the Azawadian army treats theirs (Russian Wagner mercenairies) taken prisoner at the battle of Tinzawaten in july, who are treated humanely according to international war prisoner laws. On October 8, 2024, Malian forces and Wagner mercenaries committed a massacre in Asaddi, in the Timbuktu region, killing more than ten innocent civilians, then setting their bodies on fire.
On this day, an air strike near Ber targeted a vehicle carrying medical supplies for the population, killing one civilian and wounding two others. These events highlight the ongoing human rights violations in #Azawad by #FAMAs and #Wagner.

SECTION 2 – The poisoning and killing of animals.
The criminal army Fama and their Wagner mercenaries officially says that they are there to “protect the people”. Are they protecting the people by cutting off the throats and poisoning their animals? the animals dies of the poisoning of the water that they do. October 2025. A joint patrol of Fama and Africa Corps poisoned wells in many locations around Azawad, killing a lot of animals. As a way to try to starve the people living there. Or shall we say, trying to survive there…

SECTION 3 – Drone attacks with Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones.
Four charred bodies of people in Zouera, on July 8, 2025, including that of a woman and her two children. A strike targeting a weekly fair is unprecedented, almost an army bombing its own people. The first drone strike targeted the area of Tin Aicha and the second strike targeted the Zouéra market at the peak of its activity. Civilians were burned. Among the victims was an entire family.
This is not a fight targeting terrorists, it´s more than clear that this is pure bombing of civilians, and this a part of the genocide against Azawadians. They don`t even hide it anymore, the genocide intention is clear to all except those who prefer to stay blind.
Drone attack on October 29, 2025, by the Malian army targeting a wedding. Killing 20 people, mostly women and children. A video circulating on the social media showed the victims. These things happens more or less weekly for the people of Azawad. They live under a constant threat and drone bombardment by the Malian regime (and the Russian mercenaries who are there only to get the gold.)
It was supposed to be a wedding… but it became a massacre of civilian unarmed people, in an area that has no armed militants present.
It`s clear that hey want the Azawadian people gone. Gone and dead, so they can take over their land (Azawad) and extract the gold and other resources.
A whole family that was killed by a drone, they were peaceful nomads. Their only fault was that they were either Touaregs, Peuhls or Arabs living in Azawad.

What have these people ever done to Mali or Wagner? are these children terrorists?
But that is the label they use on the Azawadian population to exterminate them. Here in these pictures, with Turkish drones! Turkey are gulity too by selling them to these criminal juntas.
These Turkish drones are also loaded with diverse chemicals that apparently causes the civilian population and the refugees to get serious diseases and to die.
August 25, 2024, drone strikes on families in Tinzawatene in a refugee camp, on the border with Algeria, causing several deaths and several injuries, the majority of whom are small children. Innocent people fleeing the executions of the Fama-Wagner couple and terrorist groups in the sole hope of surviving are unfortunately hit by Turkish drones that bomb them unjustly.
The children killed by Turkish drones today are orphans whose parents were cowardly killed by terrorist groups last year. People of other nationalities have also been killed in these drone attacks.
Mali’s modus operandi during the drone strike on civilians in Tinzawaten reflects the terrorist nature of the Malian army against civilians in Azawad. The first missile killed 1 civilian and injured another. (Tinzawatin 25/08/24)
Civilians gathered at the scene and the drone fired the second missile to cause as many casualties as possible. This modus operandi was that of Alqaida to detonate a first booby-trapped vehicle and wait for help to arrive to detonate the second.

Drone Strike Against Civilians in Inadjatafan, Timbuktu, Azawad October 21, 2024.
A drone strike with a Turkish TB2 drone shot down four missiles in the middle of the Inadjatafan market, a bombing of civilians by a drone belonging to the Malian terrorist army and Russian Wagner mercenaries, caused several civilian casualties, including infants. These images speak for themselves!
As these violations continue, pressure is increasing on the international community and human rights organizations to intervene and impose solutions that protect the population and put an end to the repeated violations. This is what Mali and Wagner’s terrorist militias are doing against those they claim to be their citizens.
The junta claims that they only kill terrorists. Our question is – are these children terrorists? Is the entire Azawadian population terrorists?
The #victims of the bombings are always civilians and traders. The #drone targeted a transporter truck in #Zarho in the #Timbuktu region. The drone strike of the cowardly juntas of Bamako and Ouagadougou, left 7 dead all civilians including women and children.

Picture text translated – Murders against our populations have become frequent, some of them remains undocumented. Recently, on August 27, the Malian Armed Forces and the Russian criminal Wagner Group murdered two people, including an 83-year-old man, in Aguelhoc.
SECTION 4 – Cannibalsim in the Malian national army and in Burkina Faso (AES, allied with Mali)/The height of savage barbary far from a civilized world.
In one week, no less than 4 videos leaked out on social media and they went viral, completely. These videos were absolutely hideous and disgusting. These videos have been investigated and proven to be authentic, made by the soldiers themselves.
One video shows how a soldier from the Malian National Army Fama cut up a man’s body and they were talking in bambara about eating him. In another video, they cut up the heart and liver. In another video, parts of a human body, cut up, were roasted on a fire. In the fourth video (Burkina Faso), a man is holding a leg and a head is pierced (it’s in the photo of this video) and in the video, they are also roasting parts of the body to eat them.
These videos were of course denounced by the Malian government who claimed that they were going to do an “investigation” but unfortunately for them, these videos are all authentic and were taken by the soldiers themselves. All they could do was write in a press release that this was not accepted in the Malian army and that it was a “rare event”… (!) the fact that such a thing even happened at all speaks volumes…. The videos also show otherwise and speak for themselves.
Someone “up there” made sure that these videos were leaked… because these crimes cannot continue to be hidden. These are the most horrible crimes! Apparently, cannibalism has a long history in some parts of Africa, as well as in some other places in the world. (what`s wrong with some of the humanity?? “) But what is surprising is that it is happening right now,in 2024, in Mali and Burkina Faso. You will find articles about the cannibal videos in the news section as well as several links to articles in the international media. (july 2024)
The 4 pictures on top and the one on the left above, are FAMa soldiers and the victim in the first picture was said to be a Peuhl, a nomadic farmer. The 2 last pictures on the bottom are supposedly, according to the video poster on the social media, from Burkina Faso.
By virtually all cultures in the world cannibalism is perceived as such a grisly violence that it becomes a violation of what makes us human. That makes those that engages in it into what?

This young Fulani man who was disemboweled by these Fama criminals while filming this horrible scene themselves and then sending the video between their units to boast of this crime, God made it so that there was the leak of the said video which was and still is, circulating on social networks. Cannibalism is spreading in the AES. These print screens from a video on Telegram shows cannibals dancing with body parts. Somewhere in the AES, probably Mali or Burkina Faso. And they do this in front of even children, as if this is something normal. But we can see the people in the background not reacting, which shows this is for them a normal thing… We wonder, what kind of savages is this?
Since this was written, and since these cannibal videos made the tour all around the social media in july and onward in 2024, there has been many more videos posted with even more hideous scenes. Unbelievable scenes actually. Especially from Burkina Faso, which seems to be a country without control plunged into a nightmare of violence and barbary.
No need to show any additional pictures even though they are filtered, the point has already been made.
No wonder that the Azawadian people wants to be free and independent in their own country.

SECTION 5 – Decapitation and Shooting etc.
The Malian (cannibal) army and Wagner like to use tactics to instill fear in the civilian population and one such method is beheading, and then putting the head on the body, as well as hiding explosives on the body so that it explodes if someone touches it e.g. if a person comes and wants to bury the victim.
This way there are more victims, an incredibly evil tactic and very popular with these criminal murderers as decapitated people are found all the time. Apart from cutting the heads of innocent people they also shoot them, they shoot them randomly and everywhere, daily or nightly, at any hour. Nobody is safe, everyone lives in fear.
EXTREME VIOLENCE AGAINST CIVILIANS
Since Wagner’s arrival in the Sahel, cases of violence against civilians have exploded.”Wagner” today changed name to “Africa Corps” but that does not change anything, it`s the same criminal mercenaries. As we can see on the pictures, although these pictures are filtered, these are print screens from one of the Wagner chat rooms on Telegram. Their use of social media as a weapon to dehumanize, spread hate and terror is discussed in section 9.

AZAWAD AREA OF KIDAL – Executed civilians
Between June 25 and 26, 2025, at least twenty (20) civilian remains were found executed throughout the Eghachar Sadidane Valley, following the passage of a convoy from the Malian armed forces and their Russian proxies from Africa Corps (formerly Wagner), accompanied by local militias.
Likewise it was the topic also for the Jeune Afrique who recently published their investigations about how the Wagner were posting really serious atrocities on their pay channel on Telegram. Mercenaries from the Russian Wagner group documented the atrocities they committed in Mali and Azawad, where they have been deployed alongside the Malian Armed Forces since late 2021.
On June 26, 2025, Africa Corps and FAMa burned civilians alive and threw another into a well.
The video of burnt people is too horrific to show here but it can be seen on X.
Text in the picture from X: The atrocities committed, which spared neither children under ten years old, nor women, nor the elderly fleeing from insecurity, are unforgivable and unacceptable. Some were burned alive, others were found in a well. Not to mention the number of victims of the raids.
Azawad | Tessalit – The lifeless bodies of Bilal ag Zeid and Saghdi ag Ilkoudane were found today executed with several bullets in the head by a convoy of Wagner and Malian soldiers. This convoy having left Aguelhok at night targeted this area far from the main roads where some camps of Tuareg civilians have taken refuge. The number of civilians killed by expeditions whose bodies have been discovered so far is 5.
Zeid and his friend Saghid were making their morning tea in their camps when the convoy of these criminals fell on them.
Read that again people, they were civilians who had fled the violence and went far away from the main routes. They were peacefully sitting and making morning tea and then a Fama and Wagner patrol came and killed them. They shot five people to death. They had done nothing, they were totally innocent. The only problem was that they were Azawadian Tuaregs and white skinned, and for that they had to die.
This took place on feb 14th, 2025.
The teenager buried in the picture, was shot dead by Fama/Wagner on feb 12, 2025 during one of the many raids in villages around the area of Tinbuktu.
AZAWAD IN DECEMBER 2024
Azawad in december was a month full of atrocities and terrorism committed by the Malian army and Wagner against the poor defensless civilian population.
This report, published by the @kalakal2012 Association, documents the grave human rights violations committed in #Azawad during December 2024 by the Malian Army, the Wagner Group, and GAT. It records 50 cases of extrajudicial executions, 17 cases of arbitrary arrests… and enforced disappearances, 10 cases of torture and injuries, and 50 cases of destruction and looting of property, along with widespread environmental degradation.

Such are the crimes committed by Fama and Wagner against the civilian populations of Azawad, and every now and then also in Mauritania, as well as bombings with drones, burning of trees and property, killing of animals and poisoning of water, general terrorism, explosives, rape and looting.
Let these pictures be a witness of their crimes.
Unfortunately for the oppressors like these of today, we now have the social media, and all the pictures of the ongoing crimes have all already been widely shared on the social medias and in the press. They can hide some crimes sometimes but they cannot hide all the crimes all the time.

In #Lerneb in the Timbuktu region, around ten civilians were arrested by a Wagner/Fama patrol on November 10, 2024, some of whose bodies were found lifeless and decapitated.

The “Wagner” group, run by Russian mercenaries, has released a gruesome image of a mutilated body. Local sources report a human trafficking operation targeting the Fulani, Tuareg, and Arab populations. Since their arrival, civilians have been found with missing organs.
Furthermore, more evidence of cannibalism has been uncovered.
What these inhuman creatures are doing is utterly repugnant, and the fact that cannibalism exists among them has been reported and documented repeatedly, both nationally and internationally.

As far as we have read, it was discovered in october – 2023 that human organ traffic was performed by the PMC Wagner Group in collaboration with elements of the Malian government. When we think their evil cannot get worse, it takes a plunge and dives even deeper. This article was one of a few that leaked to the public:

A reliable source, well-informed about the work of the Ministry of Defense system, has leaked that Minister Sadio Camara is coordinating with the PMC Wagner group for the international trafficking of human organs taken from victims in the north and center of the country.
In fact, human trafficking initially began without the knowledge of the transitional authorities. It was precisely in mid-October 2023 that the Malian intelligence service discovered what the unilateral behavior of the Russian partner was hiding in its bloodthirsty attacks against populations considered close to terrorist and independence groups. Following internal investigations, negotiations took place at the top of the pyramid with the managers of the Wagner group.

UPDATE: The instrumentalization of the international counter terrorism effort in the Sahel has become a lucrative business for corrupt organizations that have joined forces to exploit the indigenous territory of Azawad: the Malian army and the Africa Corps (formerly Wagner). Azawad (located in northern Mali) is like a miniature version of Gaza, it`s the same barbarity and disregard for international law.
And in Azawad, civilians are killed under the false accusation that they are or are hiding terrorists.
But in the Sahel, the bloodthirsty dictators are not criticized by the world because the local media are censored and the Sahel is too dangerous for foreign correspondents. Furthermore, the lack of international media coverage of the Azawadian resistance (Azawad Liberation Front – ALF) also contributes to rendering the horrors suffered by the Azawadian civilian population silenced.
Arabic and French are not “global” languages like English, which also contributes to rendering this desperate situation invisible.

According to Azawadian internal media, Russian soldiers, accompanied by Malian armed forces and local militias, are harvesting the organs of their Azawadian civilian victims before burying them in dredged pits, where the bodies are dumped and hidden in the desert.
The trafficking of all kinds of illegal goods also benefits from the lack of social control by international media. Today, organ trafficking by state agents exceeds all limits. The international community’s intervention is urgent!

This criminal network was first discovered in the massacre of a Tuareg family in Eghachar Sadidane.
This phenomenon was reportedly observed in Mali during the massacre of a Tuareg family by a joint FAMa/Africa Corps patrol. To conceal the alleged organ trafficking, the bodies were reportedly burned or buried in mass graves.

About this particular photo: The burned person is the innocent victim of senseless counter-attacks targeting innocent civilians because of their ethnicity. A number of civilians were burned and killed in the streets of Bamako on September 17, after a terrorist attack on the airport.
Massacres targeting innocent Fulani civilians in the region have also taken place and they have been burned alive in the streets of Bamako. These senseless attacks increase the risk of civil wars on ethnic and religious grounds. This incident is included to show the chaos created by terrorists, and which, the Malian junta and Wagner take advantage of to perform their genocide in the name of “fighting terrorism”.
The targets of their genocide (the Touaregs, Peuhls, and Arabs (Moors) of Azawad) had nothing to do with these terrorist attacks and the following chaos. But they become victims of it.

What kind of barbaric mentality is this? how can it be considered “normal” to burn a human being alive and on the street where even children in the videos are seen cheering it on? whoever thinks this is normal, well, it is not!! This is tragic, barbaric and inhuman.
Mali is apparently a racist state, but it’s racism based on races more than colors even if it´s based on colors too. Mali’s problem is the existence of all the people of the north. Mali does not want the people of Azawad to live there.
Since independence, there’s been no peace because this was never one nation but two, with distinct identities, force-attached together by France. Acknowledge that, and peace will follow.

Section 8 – The use of chemicals in drones to inflict deadly diseases.
Source: Health Sahel-Azawad: An outbreak of infectious disease in northern Azawad and border areas with Algeria The northern regions of Azawad, including Kidal, Minka, Gaoa, as far as Tinzwatin and Tmengiste in Algeria, are experiencing a widespread outbreak of an infectious disease that has resulted in the deaths of many children and adults.
According to specialists, the cause is due to the munitions used in the conflict between Azawad and Mali, including chemicals found in missiles fired by Malian and Turkish drones.
Some neighborhoods in Tamanghast and Tinzaouatin had previously experienced vaccination campaigns by local health authorities to limit the spread of the disease. By using chemicals in drones to inflict deadly diseases and serious health problems, Mali is exporting diseases and epidemics to Azawad via Turkish drones.
In #Tinzawatine, thousands of families survive in unworthy and unimaginable conditions, plunged into extreme poverty. Abandoned by all, they have received no help, neither from neighboring countries nor from humanitarian or human rights organizations. And to add to their despair, a devastating epidemic strikes relentlessly, taking dozens of lives every day.
According to research conducted by a doctor on site, this disease is the result of chemicals released by drone strikes, combined with the famine that has been eating away at these families for months. Every day, they are close to death, not only from war, but also from disease and hunger.

UPDATE: This was written in september 2024, when the epidemics came. In Oct-Nov, the Azawad Solidarity Association and also local organizations made efforts and fundraisers to help these people with medecines and clothes and other things in need, and they were luckily successful despite difficult logistics and a very insecure environment. But thanks to co-operation and efforts from both locals and people from afar in other countries they managed to do something. You can read about this effort to help the refugees on this page.

Section 9 – The use of social media to make profit by spreading violence and dehumanize innocent victims.
On Telegram, Wagner’s Russian mercenaries have been exposing their crimes in Mali (and specifically, Azawad) for months and Jeune Afrique infiltrated one of their secret channels for several weeks. Following their investigation, Telegram finally did shut down the Russian war crimes channel.
On the channel “White Uncles in Africa 18+,” hundreds of photos and videos of abuses committed, particularly in Mali and Azawad had been posted. The videos and pictures evealed a daily routine of torture, executions, and desecration of corpses, racist war crimes, documented by their perpetrators for a neo-Nazi audience.
Videos and photos showed things like severed heads brandished like trophies. Proudly claimed civilian murders. On Telegram, mercenaries from the Russian Wagner (today the name is changed to Africa Corps) documented the atrocities they committed in Mali/Azawad , where they have been deployed alongside the Malian Armed Forces since late 2021.
The International Criminal Court is reviewing a confidential legal report asserting that the Russia-linked Wagner group has committed war crimes and been spreading images of apparent atrocities in West Africa on social media. They include videos alluding to cannibalism.
This investigation is done separately from the recent manifestation that took place on june 14. It seems like more and more of their atrocities committed against civilians in Azawad and Mali (and elsewhere in Africa) has come to light internationally.

After several months of activity and hundreds of photos and videos had been posted, the channel “White Uncles in Africa 18+,” revealed by Jeune Afrique, was shut down on June 25 by the Telegram messaging service. Wagner’s mercenaries had been posting images of abuses committed, particularly in Mali, on the channel.

Cannibalism, rape, hanging, dismemberment… Wagner (now Africa Corps) films their atrocities and make profit on them by trafficking images of war crimes via Telegram. This was revealed by the Jeune_afrique.
It`s all about racism – and profit.
In the (now ex) Wagner red chatroom they call the Tuareg freedom fighters for “bergers”, the Jihadists are called “stinking Fulani,” and the Malian soldiers, their supposed allies they call “coal” or “niggers.”
Description quoted from the report, of videos and images from this now closed chat room:
“A mother and her two children hanged from a tree, two heads planted at the entrance to a bridge, six others impaled on the branches of an acacia tree, or this video of a naked man dying on the ground, his ear and fingers severed, his eye gouged out, a Russian flag stuck in his privates. The man was ultimately beheaded.” (some of these pictures you can see in section 5)
And the most likes are to the worst of the images, they actually enjoy watching cruelty. It`s clear that the people in the Wagner chat room are not what you can call normal human beings.
In their investigation, Jeune Afrique listed 322 videos and 647 photos. Ample evidence, and even claims, of abuses, torture, and extrajudicial executions by the Malian army’s Russian partners. And there were some cases revealed by the RFI, (for example a massacre of 28 civilians near Tessalit on last february and it included women and children)
And as we know, the Malian junta have always denied that Wagner were in Mali, (we have written about it before) only to be proven wrong by countless of evidence in photos and videos of their atrocities – and it was proven wrong too, also by Russia itself (the irony…)
And now they call them Africa Corps. It changes nothing. Except for maybe the fact that the Africa Corps are directly responsible to the Ministry of Defense. But from what we have seen so far, that does not stop them from violating every human rights you can think of.
Almost at the same time, the journalist Loup Vialett reveals in an investigating article on Atlantico, how Wagner had secret torture camps which they called “human butcheries.”
Now when Wagner (only the name) is changed to Africa Corps, these torture prisons are surely still in use since the genocide of the Azawadian population is still ongoing.
One of the most notorious is the former MINUSMA (United Nations Mission in Mali) base in Gao. The FAMa (Malian soldiers), who are actually under the Wagners’ orders, used their position to make ransom demands. Read the entire article:
The Red Wagner chat rooms on Telegram have been infiltrated by Africans but not by Tuaregs. Their crimes are beyond believe: Here’s what Wagner says: they refer to the Tuareg people herders who have been fighting for the freedom of their homeland Azawad for decades, as terrorists.

Wagners “red room” is closed down, and Wagner is now called the Africa Corps, but that makes absolutely no difference, they have most likely already put up another private chatroom under a different name, to watch atrocities being done against innocent civilians. THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA AS A WEAPON
The report written by experts from the University of Berkeley in the United States that was sent to the International Criminal Court (ICC) last year, considers the sharing of the content (that was shared on the Wagner Telegram channel) of being likely to violate human rights in that it places it in the cathegory of “the use of social media as a weapon.”
It was journalists from the Associated Press who reviewed the document which accuses alleged mercenaries from the Russian Wagner group of sharing videos of abuses against civilians in various Sahel countries on their channel on the Telegram network.
The sharing of degrading images — even including cannibalism – is considered content likely to violate human rights. A video from example Burkina Faso is described as “men in military uniform can be seen committing abuses against civilians.”
We know that these videos exist because we have seen them, also those of Burkina Faso, where the described “men in uniform” were dancing and laughing with human body parts in their hands, even with cut off feet in their mouth. If the sharing itself of these videos is violating human rights is something for the experts to evaluate, but the content in all those videos of atrocities is surely violating every human right in existence.
To quote the RFI:
The sharing of these films constitutes “the use of social media as a weapon,” the Berkeley experts state in their report, which is why they call on the ICC prosecutor to review the case and investigate these crimes “committed via the internet, which are linked to physical crimes and add a new dimension of harm to a broader group of victims.”
That`s the bottom line – the videos intentionally adds a new dimension of harm.
