More civilians, among them women and children, killed in airstrikes by the Malian army and Wagner.
Once again… another deadly drone strike. On may 15, 2025, two nomadic camps were hit by drones in the Tindjoulaf area, in the Gao region, Azawad. These people are civilians and they are vulnerable! living in nomadic camps in a country that Mali has abandoned ever since France attached it to them. Azawad has nothing and yet they bomb civilian women and children with drones (made in #Turkey).
Civilian people were both killed and injured during a series of airstrikes. According to reports by Kal Akal more than 2000 violations in Azawad by the Malian army and Wagner have occurred and are recorded since 2023.
And instead of really do something about the jihadists, they go and fight the civilian Azawadian population and cowardly bomb them with drones from the air instead of confronting the Azawad resistance army on the ground. And they take help from Russian mercenaries to kill the population and loot shops, poison animals and burn the ground.
The Malian army is supposed to protect the population from the real terrorists who kill the population. But the Malian army and Wagner is also killing the population, just like them. Is that not the same as state terrorism?
Either the international Community are not able to do something to protect these people who are subjected to genocide, or they are keeping their silence due to interests.
The victims is the population who are sacrificed by others who they have nothing to do with. They are squeezed in between cruel powers and the world remains silent.
The silence of the international community and allowance of this ongoing systematic genocide in Azawad, and random arrests and killings in Mali will of course backfire one day. But where are those international organizations who are supposed to protect human rights? really? these attacks clearly violates international humanitarian law.
Is Azawadian lives and human rights not worth anything?
