We, Anour Toumast Media TV. Touareg, we’ve been dealing with repeated and targeted cyber attacks for some time now against our social media accounts, particularly Facebook and TikTok.
These attacks have resulted in restrictions, suspensions and removal of important cultural and media content. These attacks are not isolated technical incidents. They are the result of a deliberate campaign to silence our voice due to our peaceful media commitment to the cause of the people of Azawad, a marginalized people for decades in the heart of the Sahel.
Why are we targeted?
Because we speak the truth.
Because we expose what others want to hide.
Because we give the voice to a people deprived of the tribune.
We say, clearly and peacefully:
Dignity for the people of Azawad, historical justice is a prescriptive right.
The right to self-determination is a fundamental principle recognized by international law. Every child of Azawad deserves to dream of a dignified homeland, with a school, a hospital, a recognized identity
Social justice, dignity, and freedom are not slogans, but claims of a forgotten people.
Our cause is neither violence nor chaos, but the call to a life of dignity and gratitude.
Do you know that an entire region of the Sahel, rich in culture and history, is deliberately ignored?
Did you know that Azawad, despite its ancient civilization, is treated like a vacuum on the map.

Attempts to silence the voices speaking the truth about oppression is part of the media war. It`s everything from false propaganda to false reporting of social media accounts. Usually they get restored after an explanation and investigation is done because the silenced media accounts are not violating any community standards. And in the end the platforms also usually sees it. If not, the truth is still just continuing to be told.
FALSE PROPAGANDA
The Malian false propaganda machine is spitting out lies faster than any machine gun. Only this week we have seen the false “death” of some very much alive and healthy FLA combatants, as well as the “successful””neutralization of “terrorists” in the form of coal sacks, birds, and donkeys. We have seen the fake capture of militia gear falsely said to be aimed at the FLA, and surely there must be something else.
False “FLA patches” shown the Malian media propaganda. The Azawad Liberation Front uses real embroidered patches, not these kind of printed things that does not even look the same as the real ones.
But it is like what the title of their article is saying – Silencing the voice of Azawad will not extinguish the truth.
And like they say – we are accustomed to the propaganda lies of the Malian junta, the dog barks, and the caravan passes calmly…
We see it everyday, how the truth still sips out to the general public despite all their efforts to silence it. The truth cannot and will not be silenced.
