THE MALIAN ARMY AND WAGNER KILL MORE CIVILIANS THAN THE JIHADISTS, according to a report by CD- DPA

THE JIHADISTS

The jihadists on the other hand who have other agendas than the Azawadian Liberation Front and nothing to do with their fight, have lately really been wreaking havoc in the Sahel. Only on June 1, 2025, there were no less than eight attacks targeting military headquarters, and vehicles of the Malian and Burkinabe armies in various areas by the JNIM and the group took control of five strategic military bases.

Eight attacks in one day? That if anything, proves this groups ability to operate simultaniously across the borders in the Sahel. There is an imminent danger of a severe deterioration of the security in this area. There are so far no effective political solutions in sight. And yet the Malian army and Wagner apparently kill more civilians than the jihadists!

Because they focus not on the terrorists, they target the civilian Azawadian population in their quest for genocide to empty Azawad of its inhabitants who have lived there since generations. Genocide is their priority, not the terrorists. And this can be proven very dangerous since the terrorists, (mostly operating in the central an southern parts, not Azawad in the north) is taking over more and more. There might be a backfire that is brutal.

The death toll has been updated and according to confirmed sources it´s over 100 soldiers that were killed in Boulikessi but it might be more and possibly also Wagner mercenaries since Wagner stationed there are usually patrolling the area. Apart from the bilan of dead soldiers there´s also reported that the jihadists have 22 captured soldiers held hostage.

As the EIGS attacks Tessit, the JNIM attacks Boulekesi a second time. And the Fama is targeting civilian vehicles Djanchaché/Kidal…. isn`t it clear by now that what have been said long long ago on the Azawadian side of the conflict between Mali and Azawad – that Mali only target civilians and not the terrorists? Look at all these terrorists! they wreak havoc and Fama send drones on civilians…

Mali will eventually understand that a purely military approach has its limits. It will then bitterly miss the days when the international community put pressure on the CMA and when Algeria, faithful to its role as mediator, drafted the 2015 agreements at its request.

These agreements would have allowed it to interact with local populations while consolidating its presence in still-vulnerable regions. But no! Mali Kura, led by former CMA prisoner Assimi Goita and his Russian proxy Wagner, chose to ignore them at the first opportunity, thus underestimating the strength that can arise from a wounded heart, from a people as proud and long-marginalized as the CMA separatists at that time and the FLA today (Azawad).

As for the consequences, which have been rather unexpected in recent times, they were not long in coming. The terrorists are now more powerful than ever, and the Azawad Liberation Front, (FLA), for their part, has not even begun the liberation of Azawad. I don’t think it’s worth asking us to engage in dialogue again if you lose control of the situation tomorrow, which is already the case. And I can assure you that this time, neither Algeria nor the international community will be able to impose new agreements on us that don’t suit us.
