TO DEFEND JUSTICE IS TO DEFEND HUMANITY

By Voix Toumast/Toumast Info:

Our struggle is not simple, but it is noble. For to defend justice is to defend humanity. May our determination never waver. The world needs courageous hearts.

To you, my brothers and sisters of conscience:
If you stand on the side of truth, then may your sharing become weapons.

Spread these images, this message. May it cross borders and break the wall of silence. We will never forget our loved ones who fell under injustice.

Toumast will not die as long as his children rise up.
Justice for our martyrs. Freedom for our people.

Editor.s note: The word “Toumast” in the Tamasheq language, means a Nation/Culture/Community.

Text in the picture:

It is not armed groups that are targeted, but civilians: women, children, and the elderly, who simply aspire to live in peace on the land inherited from their ancestors.

We cannot remain silent in the face of this strategic manipulation of the security discourse.

Because this complicit silence threatens not only justice and truth, but also the stability of the entire Sahel region.

One can be wise without silence. JUSTICE DOES NOT TRIUMPH IN SILENCE.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT – VOIX TOUMAST:

Igacher Sdidane, June 26, 2025 — New deadly strike on Tuareg civilians.

On the night of June 26, 2025, a Turkish drone operated by the Malian regime targeted a Toyota Hilux vehicle in the town of Igacher Sdidane, carrying only civilians, including women and children.

In a statement released this Friday, the Malian army claimed to have targeted a “pickup truck carrying about ten terrorists.” However, this version is formally contradicted by survivors and eyewitnesses, whom Voix Toumast was able to interview. They were indeed civilians.

This tragedy is not an isolated case. For several days, the Kidal region has been the scene of systematic violence perpetrated by joint patrols of the Malian Armed Forces and Russian mercenaries from Africa Corps.

The testimonies collected describe scenes of indiscriminate massacres: men, women, children, and herders are being slaughtered indiscriminately.

The humanitarian and security situation is rapidly deteriorating, while the international community remains silent.

For the people of Azawad, peace is elusive, and isolation is worsening.

Voix Toumast urgently calls on:

  • International media to cover these events and relay the truth,
  • NGOs to investigate on the ground,
  • Human rights defenders to mobilize.

The Tuareg people must no longer be a forgotten target. Azawad deserves justice and protection.

Is it because they are too beautiful that they kill them?

Because their eyes shine with an ancient light, that of forgotten peoples?

Because they carry in their eyes the memory of a free world, that this broken world no longer wants to see?

Because they look like our own children, but some have learned to ignore them?

Because their sole existence bothers the powerful?

And you… is it okay for you?

Nothing, in front of these lifeless bodies, those smiles that fade forever?

Nothing, in front of these broken families, mothers crying for what heaven has stolen from them?

Bamako genocidal regime killed these Azwadi children, in an airstrike on a simple civilian vehicle in Ighacher Sadidan.

Out of uniform. No guns. No threat.

Just the children. Innocents.

And yet, they are targeted, crushed, erased. As if their lives were worth nothing.

How can we still talk about “collateral damage”?

How can we continue to dress barbarism with words of law?

Since when did innocence become a crime?

Since when is childhood a target?

When killing children becomes a tactic, then it is no longer just a people we murder,

this is the very idea of humanity.

Don’t be silent.

Don’t look away.

Every silence is a further wound.

Every word shared is a spark of justice.

They were just children. They could have been yours.
