August 25, 2024 will remain as a day of deep tragedy in Tinzawatene. This peaceful locality, which had become a refuge for thousands of people in search of safety, was cruelly struck by a series of drone strikes by the combined FAMA-Wagner forces, leaving behind a spectacle of desolation and pain.
Human toll: 15 dead, including 11 children! These victims, having fled the exactions of the FAMA-Wagner couple and the terrorist groups, hoped to find a semblance of peace in Tinzawatene.
But this dream was brutally shattered by Turkish drone strikes, operating mercilessly in the service of a Malian army that, unable to protect its own people, is now turning to ruthless means to impose its authority.
A tragedy beyond imagination The toll is appalling. The victims were almost exclusively children (11 out of 15 victims). Imuhagh International will not remain silent in the face of this barbarity.
We insistently demand: – An immediate end to the massacres in the Sahel! – The categorical refusal of the international community to remain complicit by its silence!
The military juntas that have taken power in the Sahel, supported by Russia and Turkey, must put an immediate end to this bloodshed.
The people of AZAWAD, who simply aspire to live in peace, can no longer be sacrificed on the altar of geopolitical interests.

Our demands are clear:
- An immediate international investigation into these war crimes: It is imperative that light be shed on these attacks.
Those responsible, whether decision-makers or executors, must be brought to justice to answer for their actions.
- Severe sanctions against all those responsible for these atrocities: Nations and entities involved in these acts must be held accountable. The international community must act decisively to impose sanctions on all those who contribute to this tragedy.
- Urgent humanitarian assistance for survivors: Those who survived these attacks need immediate support. Shelter, medical care, food and psychological support must be made available to them without delay.
- The establishment of a protection zone for civilians: It is essential to establish safe zones where civilians, especially women and children, can be protected from the violence and bombs of Mali’s irresponsible army.
This area must be supervised by neutral international forces to guarantee the safety of the populations against abuses and genocide. Silence is no longer an option. Every minute of inaction contributes to the suffering of innocent people.
It is our duty, as an international community, to stand up against the atrocities perpetrated by the FAMA-Wagner couple in the Sahel.
What is happening in Tinzawatene is unacceptable, and we all have a role to play in putting an end to it.
Together, let’s make our voices heard to demand justice for the victims of AZAWAD at the mercy of the bombs of the irresponsible Malian army.
