In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statement from the Supreme Social Council of the Tuaregs of Libya concerning the situation in the Azawad region:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Supreme Social Council of the Tuareg of Libya is following with grave concern the dangerous developments in the Azawad region of northern Mali. The people of Azawad are victims of systematic military campaigns and genocide perpetrated by the army of the Bamako regime and its allied militias, which are targeting their very existence and historical presence in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We express our deep dismay and strongly condemn these inhumane methods in a conflict that could be resolved more effectively within a framework that guarantees rights, protects freedoms, prevents bloodshed and contributes to the stability of the entire region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, mindful of our historical responsibility to defend justice and the cause of our people in Azawad, we are addressing this humanitarian appeal to the Turkish authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their intervention in support of military operations has directly contributed to the escalation of the situation, resulting in the loss of innocent lives, fires and destruction of property, the extermination of livestock, and the contamination of water sources. This reprehensible behavior constitutes a crime against humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consequently, we hold you morally responsible. We also contest the legality of your support for the ongoing operations against our people in Azawad, particularly through the deployment of Wagner, to resolve an internal conflict in which you have no interest other than serving your own interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the murders, sabotage, and destruction, we call upon the Turkish authorities to recognize and respect Turkey’s historical ties with the entire region and to reconsider their policy by immediately ceasing their support for the Bamako regime’s army and its allied militias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silence in the face of these crimes is no longer an option, and the blood of our brothers in Azawad is a red line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O God, we have delivered the message. O God, bear witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
