According to a report by the Collective for the Defense of the Rights of the People of Azawad (CD-DPA), 23 cases of human rights abuses was recorded between august 3-9, 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of those 23 cases, 13 was massacres and executions. Then it was a case of arrest, enforced disappearance, and abduction. The report recorded no cases in the rape category, with zero reported cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was one case of violence and torture. Then there was reported seven cases of property damage, looting and destruction. And a case of environmental damage. This property, infrastructure and environmental damage directly affect populations and their livelihoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Collective for the Defense of the Rights of the People of Azawad reports weekly in their bullentin human right violations in Azawad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week the human rights violations was committed in Azawad and central Mali between august 3 and 9, by the Malian army and the Russian Africa Corps. Who, according to a number of reports from many different sources since a long time, are on an ethnic cleansing genocide agenda. Under the pretext of “fighting terrorism”, with repeated violations affecting civilians and their property, animals and even the environment (destruction and burning).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the Russian mercenaries (Afrika Korps, former Wagner) involved, this has been going on daily, weekly, month after month, year after year, since their first massacre on Malian\/Azawadian soil, which was the well-known massacre of Moura in 2022, when about 500 civilian people were massacred and a number of women and children got raped and killed as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A crime against humanity that is still unpunished.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The past week`s 23 cases are serious human rights violations against civilians, and the Collective for the Defense of the Rights of the People of Azawad (CD-DPA) is calling for their documentation and prosecution of those responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highest number of violations against human rights was in the cathegory of massacres and executions. According to the reports by the Collective, 99% of the human rights violations are committed by the Malian army and the Russian Afrika Korps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The week before this report, which was the period between 27 july to aug 2, it was reported 15 cases of massacres and executions, and 27 cases of torture and other types of violence, apart from other cases of arrestations, destructions etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are repeated reports about serious ongoing human rights violations – How long will the impunity last?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
