On this tragic but hopeful day, the Azawad Liberation Front and all the Azawadian people pay tribute to noble sons, great men, who fell as martyrs at Tinzawatène.
These exceptional men left this world wearing the turban of nobility, heads held high, standing on their land, carrying with them the honor of a just and legitimate fight. They did not fall in a fair confrontation or against a courageous enemy. They were targeted by drone strikes, cowardly weapons used to avoid face-to-face combat.
These men, guided by a sense of duty and love of their land, faced danger without ever faltering. They embody the courage, bravery, and honor of a nation in search of freedom.
The Great Men of Azawad:
• Fahad AG ALMAHMOUD: Unyielding leader, architect of unity, and tireless strategist. He carried the hope of an entire generation with a clear vision and unwavering determination.
• Chogheib AG ATTAHER: Chief of the Idnane, pillar of the community, symbol of leadership rooted in nobility and tradition.
• Albaraka AG ALFAQI: A respected notable, he upheld the values of fairness and solidarity of his people.
• Sidi AG BAYE: A political leader whose strength of conviction guided the aspirations of a struggling people.
• Bachar AG AKHMAD: A meticulous administrator, guardian of discipline and order within the movement.
• Mohamed AG ACHERIF: A political visionary, defender of the rights of the Azawadian people on all fronts.
• Mossa AG BAY: A notable deeply committed to justice and the dignity of his people.
• Ousmane Ag Mohamedine: Dedicated activists, indomitable voices of the Azawadian cause.
This cowardly act, far from extinguishing the flame of the revolution, strengthened the resolve of the entire Azawadian people.
Their Courage and Their Legacy:
These heroes are not dead, for their struggle transcends bodies and borders. They left for their land, dignified, draped in their turbans of nobility, and sealed with their blood a chapter in the history of Azawad.
Their assassinations, far from breaking the movement, sparked an unprecedented wave of support. As soon as their disappearance was announced, Azawadians, both military and civilian, scattered across other countries, began returning to join the struggle, determined to continue their work.
Their sacrifice proved once again that revolutionaries can be killed, but never the revolution. Their courage galvanized the Azawadian cause, redoubled the desire to achieve total and irrevocable independence. The blood of martyrs strengthens the revolution.
These strikes, far from weakening the Azawadian cause, unleashed an unprecedented surge. As soon as their deaths were announced, Azawadians scattered across other countries responded to the call to sacrifice. Within 12 hours, exiled soldiers began returning to join the ranks of the struggle, proving that the blood of martyrs is the breeding ground of the revolution.
Mali, with this act, has once again provided irrefutable reasons for the total separation and definitive independence of Azawad. By killing these great men, it has only increased the determination of an entire people to live free, free from oppression.
Mali, through its actions, continues to demonstrate that it can offer neither justice nor peaceful coexistence. A call for freedom – the martyrs of Tinzawatene remind us that revolution is not simply a political struggle, but a spiritual and human quest to restore dignity to an entire people.
Every drop of their blood is a seed of freedom, every sacrifice a cry for independence. They embodied the Azawadian ideal in its purest form: noble, courageous, and unwavering.
Their names will remain forever etched in our hearts, and their flame will continue to burn in the souls of all those who dream of a free, dignified, and independent Azawad. Ina l’Illahi wa ina illayhi Rajighoun.
Eternal glory to our martyrs. Long live a free Azawad.
